北半球で7月29日に上尾の門田健一氏によって,13.1等で再び観測されたあと,
9月2日に13.9等(門田),5日に14.0等(井狩康一),17日に13.4等,20日に
13.2等(中村彰正)と追跡されています.我国以外,北半球からの観測は,まだ,
報告されていません.

◎C/1997 BA6の軌道です
久万の中村彰正氏は,11月15日と28日にこの彗星の再観測に成功しました.
CCD 全光度は,それぞれ,15.3等,15.2等とのことです.氏以外に,再観測に
成功したという報告はありません.
この彗星は,離心率(1/a(org)を含めて)が恒星界から来るような大きな値
を示しましたが,観測がのびるに従って,次第に小さくなり,ついにはオ−ル
トの雲から来る彗星(ちょっと大きいか)となってしまいました.そう言えば,
もう1つ,離心率の大きかったC/1997 P2の方は,どうなったんだろう.結局,
追跡観測が報告されませんでしたが,まだ,21.0等でペガサス座に観測可能な
はずです.1度,望遠鏡を向けてください.
なお,12月のMPCは,まだ,締め切っていません.最終観測となるような
彗星(小惑星はあまりいらない)の観測をお願いします.
