Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 2200 P/2011 P1 (McNaught)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 119 observations 2011 Aug. 1 to 2012 Jan. 25. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.66 arc second. The comet has made a close approach (distance 0.000824 AU) to Jupiter on 2010 Dec. 4.6 UT. The previous perihelion passeges were 1995 June 19 and 2005 May 6. See an orbit in NK 2178.
