Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4075 58P/Jackson-Neujmin

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 315 observations 1987 to 2020, including planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of style II. The mean residual is +/- 0.73 arc second. The comet has been missed since 1996. Residuals on re-observations in 2020 were -1.08 deg for Right Ascension and -0.17 deg for Declination from the prediction in NK 3440 (= NK 778, MPC 42666, HICQ 2020) with delta-T correction = +2.38 days. The comet has passed 0.96 AU from Jupiter on 1993 Nov. 7 and will pass 0.70 AU from Jupiter on 2039 May 29 UT. See the previous orbits in NK 283, NK 473, NK 778 and NK 3440.
