Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4097 C/2017 K5 (PANSTARRS)
The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 76 observations 2017 May 27 to 2020 Apr. 22. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.51 arc second. Residuals on 2020 April observations were +5" mainly for Declination from an orbit in NK 3875 (= HICQ 2020). The comet has passed 2.62 AU from Jupiter on 2020 Apr. 25 and will pass 3.31 AU from Saturn on 2020 May 21 UT. See the previous orbits in NK 3468, NK 3600 and NK 3875.
