Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4267 147P/Kushida-Muramatsu

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 81 observations 1994 to 2009, including planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of sublimating molecule = CO (or N2) using Yabushita's theory (MN 283, 347). The mean residual is +/- 0.77 arc second. T. Kobayashi gives T = 2023 Dec. 7.35 TT in NK 2503 as the prediction of 2023 return. The comet has passed 0.077 AU from Jupiter on 1953 July 13 UT. Before this close approach, orbit was T= 1935 June 30.9, q= 5.410 AU, e= 0.194, Peri.= 305.5, Node= 106.8, i= 2.2, a= 6.715 AU, P= 17.4 years. See the previous orbits in NK 675, NK 910, NK 1743 (= HICQ 2008/2009) and NK 2503. Epoch = 2008 Sept.11.0 TT T = 2008 Sept.22.96268 +/- 0.01979 (m.e.)
