Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4307 P/2020 S6 (Leonard)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 178 observations 2020 Aug. 28 to Dec. 7. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.49 arc second. This orbit indicates the comet passed 0.064 AU from Jupiter on 1983 July 1 UT. Before this close approach, orbit was T= 1972 Oct. 8.2, q= 4.356 AU, q= 0.221, Peri.= 92.7, Node= 250.6, Inc.= 15.7, a= 5.595 AU, P= 13.2 years. See the previous orbits in CBET 4868 and NK 4248.
