Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4340 141P/Machholz 2 - D (Component D in 1999, Component H in 2015)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 130 observations 1999 to 2021, component D in 1999, H in 2015 and Outer component in 2020. Planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of style II were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 1.44 arc seconds. The comet has passed 0.93 AU from Jupiter on 2017 Oct. 14.0 UT. As written on NK 2996, component H in 2015 is identical with component D in 1994 and 1999. Corresponding with this, Outer component in 2020 is this nucleus D. Unfortunately orbit be no longer linked with 1994 observations and the residuals in 2020 are not so good.
