◎C/1999 S4の軌道と予報位置です

  最近になって,彗星にかなり大きな非重力効果が認められます.これが

このあとの光度にどう影響を与えるのか,結果が楽しみです.

 なお,7月10日から15日の間の観測がありません.7月15日の観測も,

良くありませんが,重力のみの軌道改良では,これらの観測は,赤経方向

に-12",赤緯方向に +4"の残差を示します.そのため,観測は,表示の精

度内で正しいものと思われます(正しく軌道改良が行なえている).

◎C/1999 S4の軌道と予報位置です

 上尾の門田健一氏とダイニックの杉江淳氏は,それぞれ,5月4日,18日(

門田),5月13日に明け方の空にこの彗星の観測に成功しました.両氏の CCD

全光度は,4日に13.0等,13日に11.3等,18日に11.6等でした.門田氏の18日

の観測では,頭部の中央集光は強いとのことです.これらの観測から推定され

る眼視全光度の標準等級は H10= 7.0等で,このまま,コホ−テク彗星(1973 E1)

のような衰弱を起こさなければ,7月の接近時に3等級後半までは明るくなり

ます.なお,原初軌道の長半径の逆数は,(1/a)origin=-0.000002で,いわゆる,

オ−ルト理論で言うNew Cometです.
