◎P/1998 X1 = 2006 B7 (ODAS)の軌道
IAUC 8929とIAUC 8930にあるとおり,1998年出現のこの彗星が2006年に行なわ
れていたキットピークとレモン山の観測中に見つけられました.IAUCに紹介され
ているとおり,重力のみによる2回の出現の連結軌道では,約5"の残差のずれが
生じます.従来よりの非重力効果(氷の気化)でA3項まで加えるとそのずれは
消えますが,係数がA1 = +15.81, A2 = -0.3861 and A3 = -2.07と大きいもので
す.非重力効果がCOの気化によるものとすると,その係数は,Y1 = +3.87, Y2 =
+0.1036, Y3 = -1.72まで小さくできます.ただし,これは,COの気化は,その軌
道の全周で起きていますから,当然の結果です.

Nongravitational parameters Y1 = +3.87 +/- 0.65, Y2 = +0.1036 +/- 0.0418,
Y3 = -1.72 +/- 0.03. Sublimating molecule = CO (or N2) using Yabushita's
theory (MN 283, 347).
Water-Ice vaporization gives A1 = +15.81, A2 = -0.3861 and A3 = -2.07.
Orbit will be changed to q= 3.341 AU, e= 0.232, Peri.= 189.3, Node= 240.7,
Inc.= 8.7 since the approach to Jupiter (0.15 AU) on 2042 Sept..
