OAA computing section circular NK 1070 Possible identification P/2001 X2 (Scotti) = 1929 WW

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 122 observations 1929 to 2002. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.65 arc second. Identification with 1929 WW, which was found in 2001, is still possible. Because although there are two night observations in 1929, but the first night observation seems to be not better than approximate observation as follows. We can confirm the identification at the next return in 2009. See the prediction computed from 2001 appearance in NK 879 (HICQ 2003) which is given the predicted T = 2009 Feb. 7.12929 TT.
