Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 2008 C/1989 Y1 (Skorichenko-George)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 90 observations 1988 June 13 to 1991 Mar. 18. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 1.13 arc seconds. The comet has passed 3.75 AU from Saturn on 1987 Dec. 17 and 3.24 AU from Jupiter on 1990 Aug. 15 UT. Pre-discovery observations were found by M. Meyer. See an orbit on MPC 17400 (= HICQ 1992) by Nakano and an orbit on MPC 20308 by K. Muraoka. Epoch = 1990 Apr. 19.0 TT T = 1990 Apr. 11.92954 +/- 0.00023 (m.e.)
