Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 2209 P/SOHO (2003 T12 = 2012 A3)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 136 observations 2003 to 2012. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The weighting mean residual is +/- 1.48 arc seconds. Identification suggested by R. Kracht (CBET 3001). The comet has passed 1.02 AU from Jupiter 2005 Dec. 1 and 0.17 AU from Earth on 2008 Jan. 27 UT. The past perihelion passeges were T= 2003 Oct. 16 and 2007 Dec. 13 TT.
