Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 2571 271P/van Houten-Lemmon

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 53 observations 1960 to 2013. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.33 arc second. The comet has passed 0.63 AU from Jupiter on 1979 March 10.8 UT. Recent observations show the residuals of about +50" mainly in R.
