Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 2919 51P/Harrington - C (1994) = D (2001) = 8SA248F (2008) = P101s67 (2015)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 174 observations 1994 to 2015, including planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of style II. The mean residual is +/- 0.93 arc second. Component C and D are fragments from the principal component A (NK 2916). Identification 51P-D = P101s67 was suggested by Hidetaka Sato on COMET-ML and 51P-C = 51P-D = 8SA248F was found by Nakano. The comet has passed 0.37 AU from Jupiter on 2003 Oct. 24 UT. Residuals of 2015 observations were +1416" for R. A. and +574" for Decl. from the prediction of the principal component A in NK 2314 (= HICQ 2014) with the delta-T correction = -0.86 day.
