Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 3959 C/2019 Q4 (Borisov)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 2003 observations 2018 Dec. 13 to 2019 Dec. 7. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.72 arc second. When (1/a)origin converges within 0.0000001 at r = 923 AU from the solar-system barycenter (in the year AD 1885), the barycentric eccentricity = 3.367278. When (1/a)future converges r = 996 AU from the solar-system barycenter (in the year AD 2165), the barycentric eccentricity will be 3.363578. The comet will pass 1.937 AU from Earth on 2019 Dec. 28.0 UT. Residuals for 2018 observation were around +6", -11" and around +7", -3" for 2019 February-May observations from an orbit on CBET 4691.
