The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 159 observations 1963 to 2016, including planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of style II. The mean residual is +/- 0.77 arc second. Minor planet 2000 SO253 (Discovered by LINEAR survey) was identified by Nakano (IAUC 7524). The comet has passed 0.40 AU from Jupiter on 1985 Apr. 8 UT.
