Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4118 P/2019 LD2 (ATLAS)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 163 observations 2018 May 21 to 2020 May 31. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.48 arc second. Comet has passed 0.092 AU from Jupiter on 2017 Feb. 17 and 0.211 AU from Jupiter near its perihelion in 2016 November. Before these close approach, orbits were T= 2016 11 30.0, q= 5.549 AU, e= 0.360, Peri.= 357.6, Node= 190.5, i= 14.4, a= 8.672 AU, P= 25.5 years and T= 1995 10 02.2, q= 5.616 AU, e= 0.268, Peri.= 347.8, Node= 196.7, i= 11.1, a= 7.670 AU, P= 21.2 years.
