Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4213 P/Gibbs (2007 R2)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 174 observations 2007 to 2020. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.70 arc second. Recovery observations were found on MPEC S188 (2020). The comet has been missed in 2014 return. Residuals on recovery observations were -6'.0 for Right Ascension and -2'.6 for Declinations from the prediction in NK 3440 (= NK 2063, HICQ 2013, 2020) with the delta-T correction = +0.08 day. The comet has passed 0.74 AU from Jupiter on 2016 Mar. 7 UT. And also comet has passed 0.63 AU from the Earth on 2007 Oct. 17.0 and will pass again 0.65 AU from the Earth on 2020 Oct. 2.5 UT.
