Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 4765 430P/Scotti

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 301 observations 2011 to 2022, including planetary perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and non-gravitational effect of style II. The mean residual is +/- 0.89 arc second. 2022 May observations show the residuals of -18" for Right Ascension and +10" for Declination from a linked orbit in NK 4652 with the delta-T correction = +0.01 day. The comet has passed 0.66 AU and 0.43 AU from Jupiter on 1974 July 2 and 1986 Apr. 25, respectively. Before these close approaches, comet had T= 1970 06 13, q= 2.094 AU, e= 0.396, Peri.= 38.2, Node= 103.6, i= 5.3, a= 3.468 AU, P= 6.46 years.
