Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 5048 P/LINEAR-Grauer (2010 TO20 = 2023 H6)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 85 observations 2009 to 2023. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.42 arc second. Residuals for the recovery observations were +4'.0 for Right Ascension and +1'.6 for Declination from the prediction in NK 2433 (= HICQ 2020 and later). The comet has passed 0.24 AU from Saturn on 1960 August and 0.35 AU from Jupiter on 2003 Aug. 26 and 0.075 AU from Jupiter too on 2009 Oct. 22 UT. Since these two close approaches, comet had a former orbit of T= 1979 Feb. 12, q= 5.844 AU, e= 0.329, Peri.= 191.2, Node= 321.0, Inc.= 1.8, a= 8.716 AU, P= 25.7 years.
