Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 5104 C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS)

The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 11942 observations 2013 May 12 to 2023 Nov. 17. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, and non-gravitational effects of STYLE II were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.54 arc second. Residuals for 2023 November observations were +11" mainly for Declination from a recent orbit in NK 4943. The comet will pass 2.66 AU from Jupiter on 2024 Oct. 15 UT.
