Nakano Note (Nakano wa Kangaeru noda) NK 5366 P/Catalina (2019 Y3 = 2025 A5)
The following improved orbital elements, by S. Nakano, are from 194 observations 2019 to 2025. Perturbations by Mercury to Neptune and three minor planets, Ceres, Pallas and Vesta, were taken into account. The mean residual is +/- 0.54 arc second. The residuals of recovery observations on 2025 January 29 were -0.33 deg for Right Ascension and +0.29 deg for Declination from the prediction in NK 5032 (= CH 2025) with the delta-T correction = +1.37 days. The comet will pass 0.34 AU from the Earth on 2025 Mar. 18 and 0.33 AU from Jupiter on 2033 July 4 UT. Also comet has passed 0.072 AU from Venus in 1958 and 0.11 AU from Jupiter in 1926.
